Kylie Halsey once styled shoots for Vogue magazine and procured merchandise for the clothing brand Free People. Today, though, she sources from thrift stores, estate sales and, in her own words, “people’s creepy basements” for her three-year-old vintage clothing and goods business.

Her finds end up on the racks at pop-ups and, this summer and fall, in a small hut in a big Manahawkin boatyard, where she has staked her first semi-permanent retail address.
