Avery Smith is one of those athletes who probably could have been good at anything during her high school career – except maybe soccer.
“My mom signed me up for all kinds of rec sports when I was in third grade,” said Smith, who recently graduated from Southern Regional and soon will begin the next chapter of her life at Stockton University. “I started with soccer and the coaches put me in as a goalie, but I couldn’t save anything, so I cried and quit playing.
