What’s With Democrats?

To the Editor:

I am old enough to remember “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” performed by Joan Baez in the ’60s. Reflecting on the song and the thoughts conveyed in today’s world, the question might become “where have all the Democrats gone?”

The early Democratic party included Presidents Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson. More recently, Presidents Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy and Bill Clinton were Democrats, all remembered for what they accomplished.
