Your paper has the gall to publish an article (“Public Input Sought for Mitigation Fund to Assist Fisheries,” 12/21) that promotes cessation or dramatic alteration of non-carbon-based energy generation – wind farms – because it will make the view unattractive to some, and then publish an article that highlights the real plight of LBI, “One Year Later, Still No Schedule for 2023 LBI Beach Replenishment,” 12/21). What an ironic combination of articles!

Your precious island was ruined years ago by overbuilding. It’s a sandbar that has become a rich beach umbrella…
