To the Editor:

On behalf of the members of the High Point Volunteer Fire Co., I want to address the disturbing incident that occurred during our annual Dog Day Road Race on Aug. 16 in Harvey Cedars.

The father of one of the young runners contacted us following the race and told us about the antisemitic remarks directed at his son by a group of spectators along the course. We are deeply saddened and angered that this happened, especially to a young person.
