Challenges are a way of life for this newly married couple, having trekked the Himalayas in Nepal for several years. Andy, who has worked many years overseas in international development, is a veteran trekker, having completed the Stupa to Stupa trail run of 22 miles around the rim of Kathmandu. Maria has trekked to the base camp of Mount Everest from Lukla. Andy proposed to Maria on the seventh day of a nine-day trek in Nepal near Kangla Pass at 17,000 feet.
