I have shoe envy. Yes, I am ashamed, but I have never been able to understand why men can buy sensible shoes and women cannot.
My husband and sons wear shoes with a nice 1-inch heel and rounded toe boxes shaped more or less like a human foot. I, on the other hand (or foot), have squeezed my tootsies into shoes with a pointed toe so extreme it could be used as a weapon -and probably has been now and then.
