Optimist sailors from near and far descended on Surf City Yacht Club last week to close out the youth sailing season on the Island.
Competing in the New Jersey Optimist Championship Aug. 15-16, more than 125 boats set sail on the bay in two fleets – Gold and Silver – and the race for the top spot was a hotly contested one among four sailors.
