As I sit on our street’s beach bench, bundled up in my winter coat, capturing some winter rays of the sun to try to warm my face, I can’t help but think about old man winter, who is knocking on our door. This is the type of day that makes it hard saying goodbye to summer.

I reminisce about the summer that was while watching all my friends pack up their cars one final time and batten down the hatches to go to either their winter homes or their southern snowbird destinations. It makes me wonder where I will be in the months to come.
