The Sun Trippers have established themselves as a community staple, becoming known and loved among music enthusiasts of the LBI region for their rock tributes as well as their mission of benevolence.
Founded by guitarist Robert Perry, the band filled a void left amid significant losses in his life. First, his wife passed away in September 2020; barely a month later, his 27-year-old son, Zach, succumbed to a fentanyl overdose brought on by severe anxiety and depression.
