To the Editor:
Fireworks have become synonymous with Independence Day. That doesn’t change the fact that, unless a permit has been issued, they are illegal in the state of New Jersey per State Statute 23:3-1.
Thankfully, common sense prevailed this past July 4th with the Long Beach Township-permitted fireworks being moved from Bayview Park, a primarily residential neighborhood, back to Beach Haven’s commercial district.
