Joe and Nancy Ferrante will count Sunday, April 7 in Sunrise Bay, Little Egg Harbor, as one of the most important in their lives. At 12:30 p.m., they received a call from the transplant team at NYU Hospital to say they had a liver for Joe, who has been on the transplant list. It was the call they’d been hoping and praying for.
And how did Joe react? “Who is this? This is a joke, right? Come on, stop kidding me.” Then he gave the phone to Nancy.
She asked, “Who is this? What is your name?” When the gentleman answered her questions, she realized they did indeed…
