Last season, the Southern Regional boys volleyball team lost a total of four games. Two of them occurred at the tail end of the season, when the Rams lost a 2-1 contest to Old Bridge in the NJSIAA championship match, a bitter culmination to a 33-1 season.
“We play for state titles, but we’ve been bested by Old Bridge’s four consecutive championships,” said coach Eric Maxwell. “We haven’t won an overall state title since 2017, so how do we get back on the throne?
