To the Editor:
Four weeks ago I headed to the beach with my wife, daughter and 2-year-old grandson. We settled on a spot close to the ocean as it was close to low tide. We were also a good 150 feet away from the lifeguards. For the next hour or so I enjoyed digging for sand crabs and playing in the wash of the waves with my daughter and grandson.
Kids are fearless and we found ourselves constantly pulling him back from incoming waves that were destined to knock him down.
