To the Editor:

I am writing in regard to the LBI school board’s decision to move all students out of LBI Grade School and into Ethel Jacobsen School. As a board member of 30 years and a resident of this community for 50, I’d like to give context to why this is a poor decision and express my deep concern with the plan.

First and foremost, EJ was designed for little children in grades kindergarten through third. Therefore, the entire structure is made for that age group.
