One artist whose work is part of the current “Plein Air Plus” exhibition at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies is Marjorie Haley of Hackettstown, who spends most of her time on the road, towing her 30-foot trailer/studio and painting what she sees. Haley has been a full-time roving artist for the last 10 years and a yearly visitor to LBI since she was born, she said.

Her main medium is oils. “It’s like painting with butter,” she said.
