Ashish Gainder hasn’t had an easy tennis season so far. In fact, it’s been quite the uphill climb.

“Right at the beginning of the season, I had a fractured ankle, so I couldn’t practice and work my way up in the lineup,” said the Pinelands Regional High School junior, who during the past week has won all of his matches in the second singles position, as the Wildcats have captured four straight since a 4-1 loss to Shore Conference power Christian Brothers Academy prior to spring break.
