When a team is as inexperienced as the Pinelands Regional girls basketball squad, sometimes the only appropriate response to being down by 17 points at halftime is to simply work hard and fight back.
“You have to play with intensity all the time,” said head coach Keith Lowe following his Wildcats’ 38-34 loss to Brick on Jan. 13. “When you’re limited in certain capacities, you have to make up for it with drive, heart, hustle, work ethic. It sounds cliché, but it’s true.
