Doug Snelson is an author, poet and pickleball player. All three components come together in his latest work, Pickleball Poetry: Fun and Whimsical Verses to Dink About.

It was eight years ago when Snelson began playing the fast-growing sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.

“I’ve always liked racket sports,” said the author. “I was captain of my high school tennis team, and my dad taught me a lot about table tennis. We played that a lot as a family.”

Snelson has five children’s books to his credit, but said his new book can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
