Following a nearly monthlong trial, the Pennsylvania woman charged in the double homicide of her father and his longtime companion at his Surf City bayfront home in September 2021 has been found guilty of their murders.
In rendering its verdict, the jury determined beyond a reasonable doubt that Sherry Lee Heffernan, 57, of Landenberg, Pa., purposely or knowingly caused the death of her father, John Enders, and Francoise Pity, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. The murders occurred on or about Sept. 29, 2021 at Enders’ home on North Seventh Street.
