To the Editor:
I read with interest the article titled “Approaches to Outdoor Dining Differ on LBI” (8/10). The story implies that the Island will be going back to pre-COVID restrictions on outdoor dining, but it does not mention my town, Harvey Cedars. As far as I can tell, we have had incredible success with our outdoor dining; it has been good for the restaurants and the people love it.
We should find a way to give outdoor dining some permanence, and not make it a battle every year for our restaurants.
