In 2018, Gov. Murphy stood on the Point Pleasant boardwalk and proudly announced the signing of a crucial bill that prevents oil drilling off New Jersey shores. He emphatically declared, “No way, no how, ever, oil drilling off of our beautiful shore!” A video of this statement is available online.
