Last July, alongside a nice turnout of local surfers and skateboard families, I attended and covered the regular Beach Haven Council meeting. It was there that I witnessed the most lovely and warm conversation regarding a municipal skatepark I have ever heard.
I’ve been to a few of these meetings and heard some pretty vicious discourse. But there was none of that in Beach Haven last July. It was a real love fest. The council actually wanted to give the town a skatepark.
