THE ISLAND WELCOMES TREE-HUGGERS: For many moons, wildlife of a canid kind has been heavily discussed on LBI. Discussion has spawned debate over the compatibility of people, coyotes and red foxes when it comes to inner-city-like living, the Island being as built upon as many North Jersey cities.

As of now, coyote are barely showing, most captured and killed, while foxes are their relatively plentiful selves, as they’ve been for many decades.
