Playing the bagpipes is not easy, musically or physically – which is why Geoffrey Knudson practices daily, in addition to attending band practice twice a week. The Manahawkin resident, 72, has played the pipes for 25 years, and stays busy with both solo and group engagements.
This Thursday, in fact, Knudson will be with the Sandpipers Pipes and Drums of Atlantic County, out of Absecon, for the Absecon Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day, which benefits Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. And on Aug.
