Staff from New Jersey Resources traveled to the Long Beach Township Field Station in Holgate last Friday, April 26, to help bag shells accumulated via the Oyster Recycling Program, an initiative established in 2017 by the township and the Jetty Rock Foundation.
As part of the recycling project, oyster and clam shells are collected from local establishments to use, typically, in mollusk restoration efforts in area waters.
