Local Players Help AYF All-Stars Snatch National Crown

A handful of local football players recently had the experience of a lifetime and helped their team to a national title.

Playing alongside other select all-stars, Emanuel Gerena, Kai Pritchard, Jayden Nascimento, Colin Izzo, Donato Kastner and Najee Calhoun traveled to Kissimmee, Fla., for the American Youth Football National Championships, and on Dec. 10 the New Jersey AYF 14-and-under All-Stars scored a 38-19 victory over Georgia PAC 12 to secure the Conference All-Stars 14U crown.
