That blizzard blew – which is a good thing. Like the previous storm, it never caught up to the hype. The snow totals, reaching Island high points of 15-plus inches, mainly in and around my house and truck, were decently impressive when factoring in drifts.

Totally lacking – and, again, a good thing – were high tides and kickass winds. For many, the storm’s timing was also lacking. The peak of the precipitation fell unseen within the low-viz innards of night.
