To the Editor:

Stewardship of the land is a responsibility to be shared by all. There is a fast-moving agenda to expand the pickleball courts on Merivale/Nelson avenues. These courts were expanded in 2021. This should be enough to satisfy any need or want that exists for more. The courts already were expanded at the expense of trees and land. There are no sound barriers, no replanting of trees, and zero landscaping to see.
