To the Editor:

Recently my wife and I came down with COVID while on vacation. She recovered a bit faster than me.

Our neighbors and friends brought dinners, watermelons, orange juice, sweet rolls, all appreciated. Any errand or shopping need was addressed. If the flower beds lacked water, they were watered; trash cans were taken to the curb and returned back to the house. One friend shared our progress with others on the street, keeping phone calls lower.
