To the Editor:

Considering some observations I’ve had concerning our nation, our landmark anniversary in the 250th year since our Declaration of Independence, and the present presumption of our due allegiance, I’d like to share my hope for fellow Americans.

I have very strong opinions about what the U.S ought to be: a model of liberty and compassion, with a mighty arm against injustice and tyranny, at home and abroad wherever like-minded peoples of the Earth are in need.
