The Ocean Mile Swim is off the board. Barnegat Light Beach Patrol Capt. John Schulze made the announcement about its cancellation Sunday, July 9.
“I have decided to cancel the Barnegat Light Ocean Mile Swim indefinitely,” Schulze stated in his announcement, which was posted to social media channels and shared via email. “It is important to understand this has little to do with the protected birds.
