Vincent D’Amico started swimming at Haven Beach Club when he was 4 years old. As one of the 16-year-olds on his way out of the program, he’s helped redevelop the Hurricanes’ culture.
“I’ve spent a lot of summers here. I’ve kind of grown up here,” said D’Amico, who scored a victory in the 16-and-under butterfly and second in the 16-and-under freestyle to help lead HBC to its fifth straight Long Beach Island Swim Club Championship crown on Aug. 13.
