Ocean County officials are expected to go out to bid for a pump station to address flooding on 28th Street in Ship Bottom later this month, effectively beginning a project that has been years in the making.

“We met with Ocean County regarding the pump down on 28th Street,” Mayor William Huelsenbeck said during the borough council’s March 28 meeting, adding the official request for bids is expected to go out around the middle of this month. “It will probably start in the fall.”
