When you’re driving down the Garden State Parkway, you will see the big, green sign that states “20 Miles to LBI,” and then comes the exit, the one that you’ve been waiting for all year – Exit 63. You turn off onto Route 72 East, a highway through the town of Manahawkin that leads to the bridge. Traffic moves slowly along this route as everyone is trying to enter the Island for their summer getaway.
You eventually get to the bridge, which is about 2 miles long.
