To the Editor:
While much discussion took place in Long Beach Township over a year ago about lowering speed limits to 15 mph on Beach Avenue (I think it’s terrific, given the increase in walkers, runners and bikes on the roads in season), much less or nothing has been discussed about encouraging travel by way of electric carts and vehicles that elsewhere on LBI are approved for use. Why aren’t we encouraging more of this in Long Beach Township?
I know the immediate response could be safety. Let’s discuss that.
