To the Editor:
I am shocked and disgusted by the comments reported in the letter relating to a guest on LBI who happens to be Black (“Racism on LBI,” 10/12). What year is it? In what state is LBI? Has the Jim Crow South of decades ago been revived here?
As a full-time resident with roots in Surf City going back to the late 1950s, I can honestly say I have never heard of or observed any such repulsive behavior before.
