Eagles Nest Airport in Eagleswood has been awarded over a quarter-million dollars to improve safety and visibility, as one of nine airports to receive state funds for improvement projects, state officials announced last week. The grant will help fund obstruction survey, design, permitting and construction.
What it boils down to is tree-trimming, Pilots Association Board of Directors President Peter Weidhorn explained.
