Last Saturday was the final day for the duck hunting season, and it was an afternoon that Andrew Hirtle will never forget.
That day, the 36-year-old Long Beach Township resident left the boat ramp at Bay Village in Beach Haven on a 17-foot boat built by his grandfather, John Dory, who also built the home Hirtle lives in on New Jersey Avenue.
