St. Patrick’s Day has gone to the dogs. Yellow Dog Coffee Roasters in Manahawkin and Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, both located in Manahawkin, have partnered to benefit shelter pets, by inventing a drink called the Lucky Dog latte to raise funds.

SITTING PRETTY: Cookie awaits his chance at love at the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter. To inquire about adoption, call 609-978-0127 or stop by any day between 1 and 4 p.m. at the shelters temporary location at 20 Collinstown Rd. in Barnegat.
During the month of March, $1 from each latte purchased will help pay for surgeries and other medical treatments to prep dogs and cats for adoption. The chocolate, almond, cinnamon latte is available hot or iced.
The coffee shop is located in the Young Plaza on Route 9, facing Cedar Bridge Road.
