Are you old enough to remember the real America when we dreamed our country would never lose? When you could leave the front door open? When you took it for granted that women and the elderly were to be respected? When a girl was a girl and a boy was a boy, and never the twain shall meet? When the poor were too proud to take charity?
When ghettos were just neighborhoods? When young fellows tried to join the Army, Navy or Marines? When songs had a tune you could hum? When criminals went to jail?
