With the unofficial start of the summer season on the horizon, changes to Long Beach Boulevard this spring go beyond the annual return of fully functioning traffic lights and the lowering of speed limits ahead of Memorial Day weekend. In fact, some of the changes are permanent.

For those who haven’t made the trek to or from the south end of the Island in a few days, there’s new, bright white striping and a new island on the Boulevard in Ship Bottom.
