To the Editor:
Brown bay? I’ve noticed over the last several years that Barnegat Bay has become browner and a lot less translucent. There seems to be more growth on pilings and things that are placed in the bay: crab traps, boats, ladders, buoys, etc.
When I paddleboard, I can’t see the bottom of the bay like I used to. The other day, my Sunfish centerboard hit the bottom of the bay because I couldn’t see through less than 2 feet of water.
