To the Editor:
I am writing to alert the community to a serious breach of etiquette by a nonprofit. Last week it was brought to my attention that one of Surflight Theatre’s longtime supporters received a letter from a member of Save Long Beach Island Inc. This letter said that this donor had been acknowledged by us for a generous donation. The letter went on to describe the horrors of the proposed wind turbine project and then asked for a donation to their organization.
This patron contacted me and wondered how the Save LBI member had received the list of Surflight donors.
