You may have seen a new artist table at pop-ups around the Island this summer called Beach Block Prints. Beach Block is the creative project of LBI Grade School math teacher and Island surfer Lauren Rothstein. Her medium is block printing, where she draws a beach-inspired design, carves the image and then uses ink to create a print of the image.
On Saturday, Sept. 9, Rothstein will celebrate her first full body of work, called “Sisters of the Sea,” at the Five 0 Six Surf Boutique.
