Beach Haven Councilman Michael Battista is seeking re-election for a one-year unexpired term, and is opposed by newcomer Michael McCaffrey.

In January, the council appointed Battista, a former commissioner under the borough’s old form of government, to replace Kris Rutherford, who resigned late last year through her four-year term after relocating to another community.
