I have always loved turtles since childhood.
Years ago, Dad took my twin brother and me to Bloomfield Pet Shop to pick up birdseed for Mom’s canary but ended up giving in to our pestering for two of those cute little green turtles “begging” to come home with us. We were so excited on the trip home he had to tell us repeatedly to calm down so he could concentrate on the road.
