Madison Kubicz gathered with her Barnegat field hockey teammates, after they knocked off Howell on Oct. 14, to celebrate a milestone. The senior goaltender had accumulated 200 saves.
“Maybe that’s not necessarily a good thing, that I’ve had to make that many saves, but it’s OK. I like the work,” Kubicz said with a laugh, after she tallied seven saves to help the Bengals advance to the second round of the Shore Conference Tournament with a 7-1 victory.
