If the resident piping plovers and weather cooperate, the Barnegat Light Ocean Mile Swim will have its place in Barnegat Light again this summer, and registration for the event is ongoing right now.

Hosted by the Friends of Barnegat Light Beach Patrol, the race is slated for Saturday, July 25 at its typical start time of 6:30 p.m. Registration is available until the end of check-in on the day of the race, which closes at 5:30 p.m., or until the race limit of 440 participants has been reached.
It’s still expected to begin at 30th Street and end at 16th Street in Barnegat Light.
