During the previous two seasons, the Pinelands Regional girls lacrosse team waited until May to win two straight games. This season, head coach Paul Millar’s Wildcats have accomplished the feat prior to April 15.
“It’s pretty cool, especially because we’re not really known for having much success at lacrosse,” said senior Karlie Pomponio, after she and the Wildcats cruised to a 14-8 victory over Point Pleasant Beach on April 11, three days after ousting Neptune.
